On the occasion of World Environment Day (5 June 2025), Ayush Art Foundation conducted a special tree plantation and awareness activity at a child care institution in Odisha. This wasn’t just about planting saplings—it was about planting values, hope, and a lifelong connection to the Earth.
Our Founder, Ayush Mohapatra, spent meaningful time interacting with the children. He didn’t just talk about the environment—he made it come alive through heartfelt conversation, storytelling, and active participation. As part of the campaign, children planted trees in the garden and then watered each plant with care, love, and curiosity in their eyes.
Ayush introduced the children to the powerful national initiative “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0” (एक पेड़ माँ के नाम 2.0), which our foundation proudly follows. The essence of this campaign is deeply symbolic—planting a tree in the name of one’s mother. Just like a mother nurtures life selflessly, a tree protects and sustains the future. This simple but profound act teaches children gratitude, responsibility, and environmental consciousness. Each tree planted becomes a tribute of love, rooted in both soil and emotion.
During the watering process, Ayush shared with the children why trees should be seen not just as plants but as friends. He encouraged them to talk to the trees, care for them, and build a personal bond with nature. “A tree is your best friend,” he told them, “because it always gives—without asking anything in return.”
From laughter to learning, and from planting to pledging, the day turned into an unforgettable celebration of climate action. These young hearts not only planted saplings—they planted hope, values, and a shared mission to protect our planet.
