Why Project Indradhanu Matters

Across many government and rural schools in Odisha, one thing is missing — Art Education.

Most schools still function without: A trained art teacher, A dedicated art period, Basic creative materials

Guidance to explore imagination

Project Indradhanu bridges this gap by bringing art, inspiration, and opportunities directly to the classrooms.

Through this initiative, we aim to ensure:

Equal access to creative learning

Awareness of culture, environment, and values

Art becomes a medium to learn about society, tradition, and sustainability.

Improved imagination & problem-solving

Stronger emotional & mental well-being

Project Indradhanu is a state-wide mission led by Ayush Mohapatra — Young Artist, Speed Painter, Performer & Social Changemaker from Puri, and appointed as a HundrED Youth Ambassador (Europe) representing India in Art Education.

The project aims to make Art Education a compulsory subject in every school of Odisha by:

  • Conducting workshops in remote & rural schools

  • Teaching students basic drawing, creativity, expression

  • Collecting school feedback to highlight the absence of art teachers

  • Creating digital content to raise awareness

  • Encouraging policymakers to include Art as a core subject

Launched in January 2025, the project is a growing movement connecting thousands of children across Odisha.
